Land/Air 7.2: What's new?
Below you will find a list of improvements of the main version of our softwares 'Land’/’Air'. In order to purchase or upgrade to this version you only need to get access to 'Land' or ‘Air’ sections of our website. Most notable changes and improvements are divided into the following agrupations:
NEW PRODUCT LAUNCHED: Land version for Mac!

Technical information Press release Buy a license Download trial version
Note: Remember that each license of Land can be installed up to 3 devices: Windows (XP/Vista/7) and/or Mac (OS X 10.6 or superior). If you have not consumed all 3 license registrations included in each license of Land, you will be able to install the software on Mac with no need to buy a new license.
If you already consumed all 3 registrations included in your product and want to keep using Land: Buy 1 extra registration attempt for Land (3 registers already used + 1 extra register for your license)
Mac: Communications between Land and Sportiva/Sportiva+ via SD card
In some cases Land version for Mac might not detect Sportiva/Sportiva+ when plugged to PC, nevertheless SD card can work as a bridge for some functions (More information at: How to communicate Sportiva/Sportiva+ with Mac?):

Search POIs and geocodes on V-Maps
By using the searching engine window of Land, the user is able to enter any information and easily find on any vectorial map all kind of points of interest of the zone (POIs) as well as exact street locations on the map (geocodes). This software will load all V-Maps present in memory to search for these elements.

Note: Current version doesn't accept generic names like 'street' or 'calle', just concrete addresses.

Update TwoNav for Android
If you use Android, you can update your TwoNav application from Land/Air. These are the steps to reproduce:
|
Main menu bar customizable
The main menu bar of Land/Air (containing by default ‘File’, ’Maps’, ‘Tracks’...) can be configurable according to the preferences of the user.
Customizable options for this menu are accessible from:
|
*.FIT extensions supported
Tracks with *.FIT extensions, format used by Garmin Edge GPS, are supported by Land. Among several fields, *.FIT tracks might contain ANT+ values such as heart rate, speed rate, cadence rate...
Modify the starting point of a track
The user is able to choose the starting point of a track. By right clicking on a track point and selecting ‘Tools > Start point here’ from the contextual menu, this point will be fixed as the origin of the track.

Track’s legs

|
Original legs (default)
|
Legs by distance
|
Legs by time
|
‘Leg analyse’, at the contextual menu of the track, allows the user to analyse legs of the same track by comparing several fields such as distance, accumulated altitude, mean speed, pace, duration, slope...
![]()

At ‘Track menu > Leg analyse’ you will be able to display legs according to some values as well as return to the original presentation mode (no sections made).

From ‘File menu > Options > Tracks’, the user can set interval values for some of these legs, for example, fix distance of legs in meters or set time intervals in seconds.
Different display for active tracks
Once you are navigating a track you will see the difference between the active track and the other tracks. The active one has a different on-screen display, by default a green colored line. Usually, the active track has a notable thickness and a different colour to make it different from the rest.

New contextual menu for tracks
Track’s contextual menu options have been re-arranged into several structures in order to avoid a large display on screen.

Moreover, representative icons have been added to prominent functions and new icons have been created for several agrupations: file, tools...
Waypoints with geocodes
At ‘coordinates’ section of waypoint's properties, a geoposition is displayed showing the exact address of the waypoint location (vectorial map needed).

Waypoint icon position
There are several on-screen presentations for waypoint icons:
|
Icon presentations can be customized from:
|
Hint function for maps
Specific information for each clicked point on map will pop up on the screen showing fields with useful information.

This function can be personalized, or even disabled, according to the will of the user, this can be done by selecting ‘File > Options > Display > Map elements > Hint fields’. There you will be able to add or exclude data fields which later on will be displayed on maps:

Vector map editor: re-center while creating new points
While using Vectorial Editor there is the possibility to enable ‘re-center when editing’, this option re-centers automatically the window position each time the user creates a new point when transforming vector maps (Maps > Edit the vector map). The same option can be enabled during the creation of tracks and routes (Contextual menu > New > Start track/route here).

If this option is disabled, the main window will not be automatically refreshed, so the user will need to move scrollbars manually at the same time that creates new vector points.
Map folder organization in data tree
At ‘File > Options > Maps > Show folder structure', the user can decide whether to display maps at the data tree keeping their original agruptations in folder structures, or not.

If this option is not enabled, maps will be presented at the same structure level with no folder agrupations: all maps will be listed together.
- 3D viewer is presenting to the user the nearest map areas rather far sections of map (front-to-back presentation).
- 2D mode is also using OpenGL graphic acceleration to make it a little bit more fluid (even for enabled shady reliefs).
- Map legends can be removed during edition process even if one single map is being used (until now, a minimum of two maps were needed to apply the function).
- Map limits as well as the selection of maps (specially mosaic tiles) have been improved for an easier on-screen identification and interaction. Layout of tiles have been improved to highlight them (Data tree > Maps > Contextual menu > Show tiles layout).

- Track and route editor works more fluently and efficiently while editing in 3D mode.
- Track name is no longer changed in the data tree after it has been added to logbook.
- Two more data fields have been added to display colour gradation to tracks: ‘speed/cadence’ and ‘sensor speed’. (Contextual menu of a track > gradate track colour)
- *.CJT files now work with relative paths (until now they were absolute) so they will work on other systems than the original one.
- Some navigation fields (Speed, Bearing, Vertical Speed…) can be displayed in clock mode, as well as default digital mode.

- At map window, you are able to copy a waypoint by selecting it, plus pressing ‘Control’ and dragging the mouse to the location where you want to paste the new waypoint.
- Full screen option is improved by displaying a larger working area with no bars and buttons.
- A quick shortcut named 'Recent files' has been added to 'tracks' 'waypoints' and 'maps' menus. The user will be able to get a faster access to recent items which have been lately opened.
- The size of the rows of any list of items can be adapted to the preferences of the user.

- Plugged SD cards are presented at ‘Storage files’ section of the data tree using a specific SD card icon that makes easier to identify connected cards.
- Option ‘Draw maps with extra quality’ has been removed from ‘View’ menu because maps are always displayed using high quality resolution.
- Tracks can be saved as *.KML files.
- *.KMZ files containing waypoints marked with different colours are correctly displayed keeping their original colours and not unifying them into a single colour.
- Correct display when altitude is negative value.
- Maps are correctly listed when applying these two options: ‘List of loaded Maps’ and ‘List of loaded Landscapes’ (‘maps’ menu).
- Due to map cache internal configurations, registered overviews are no longer asking for registration once the code has been entered.
- Registration maps can be converted to .RMAP keeping the encryption.
- Géoportail map can be properly opened once the registration code has been inserted.
- ‘Auto-search GPS’ option detects USB-connected GPS properly (‘Communications > Configure communications > General’).
- Due to new CompeGPS icons, waypoint labels are no longer overlapped with waypoint icons. If 3D+ mode is enabled, 3D labels are properly displayed.
- Moving waypoints by pressing ‘Alt’ key + mouse works correctly.
- Select more than two waypoints at the map window pressing ‘Control’ key + selection works correctly.
- Disable 'Transparent colour' option from raster map’s properties can be applied properly.

- Bad behaviour presenting branches with unfolded items at the data tree when scrolling with mouse’s wheel has been corrected.
- Full Land registration is no longer lost when activating other products.
- iPhone: Big maps can be sent from iPhone to Land without size limitations.
- iPhone: The management of the data tree is faster specially when expanding folders containing a considerable amount of files.
